Asahi Kasei Medical and JSR Enter Co-promotion Agreement

Asahi Kasei Medical Co., Ltd. (Asahi Kasei Medical) is pleased to announce that Asahi Kasei Medical and JSR Corporation (JSR) have entered into a co-promotion agreement for bioprocess products that will initiate sales collaborations in Europe and North America on April 1, 2022.
Asahi Kasei Medical and JSR both supply key manufacturing technologies to the biopharmaceutical industry, with Asahi Kasei Medical providing filters for virus filtration and cell harvesting/clarifications and JSR providing chromatography resin. Through this collaboration, the companies will each broaden their access to sales channels and strengthen the sales potential of their respective products.
"This collaboration will leverage leading-edge technologies and expertise that both companies already have underway," said Ken Shinomiya, director and head of the Bioprocess Division of Asahi Kasei Medical. "This agility to customer-centric innovation is one of many actions that we do with an aim to provide "Assurance Beyond Expectation" to our customers."
"This is an exciting collaboration because both companies can now offer more value to customers through JSR and Asahi Kasei Medical's complementary products," said Hideaki Nomura, general manager of the Bioprocess Department at the Life Science Division of JSR. "It's a good fit because JSR takes great pride in our high-quality standards and the level of support we provide to the customers."
