Asahi Kasei Life Science Launches 1.0 m² Planova™ FG1 Virus Removal Filter

Expanding high-flux virus filtration to support larger-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Asahi Kasei Life Science is pleased to announce the commercial availability of the 1.0 m² Planova™ FG1 virus removal filter.
Building on the proven performance of Planova FG1, the new 1.0 m² membrane area has been developed to meet the increasing demand for productivity in commercial-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
The larger membrane area enables manufacturers to benefit from FG1’s high-flux performance at greater processing volumes, helping accelerate manufacturing while maintaining reliable virus removal capability.
"The newly launched 1.0 m² filter further enhances our ability to support scale-up from process development to commercial manufacturing and has already been highly evaluated by many customers," said Yoshimoto, Senior General Manager, Head of the Bioprocess Global Operation at Asahi Kasei Life Science.
The 1.0 m² Planova FG1 filter is now commercially available.
